Project Astra
I had the privilege of joining the Google Creative Lab as one of the lead producers for their collaboration with Google DeepMind on Project Astra, which debuted at the 2024 Google I/O event.
Astra is a multimodal AI agent that can see, hear, and speak, allowing the agent to contextually understand the environment you bring it into. The project came to life in two different applications: one could run on a mobile device, allowing users to ask questions about what their device's camera can see. The other was a physical installation in the AI sandbox at the event. For the physical application, we created four different mini-games that allowed users to experience the agent in a creative and fun way.
